SEVIERVILLE-Edward Ray Sutton, 57, of Sevierville, TN, was taken suddenly Sunday, June 17, 2001.
Mr. Sutton owned and operated a sawmill in Sevierville and was a Baptist by faith.
His father, William Thomas Sutton, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his mother, Gleneva (Jenkins) Sutton, four daughters and two sons-in-law, Diane and Billy Ridgway, of Sevierville, Susan and Phillip Huff, of Seymour, Sherry Norris, of Sevierville, and Teresa Proffitt, also of Sevierville; one son, Ronnie Sutton, of Sevierville; one sister and brother-in-law, Blanche and Ray Hartsell, of Cosby; one brother and sister-in-law, Eugene and Shirley Sutton, of Newport; five grandchildren, Larry Norris, Ricky Norris, Tommy Sutton, Timmy Proffitt, and Nikki Proffitt; several nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts and uncles.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 19, 2001, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home. Service will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2001, at the Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ricky Hurst and Rev. Clay Sutton officiating. Interment will follow at the Sutton Cemetery in Sevierville.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Brown Funeral Home has been honored to make the final arrangements for Mr. Edward Ray Sutton.
