Julia Bell Whaley Ott-age 89 of South Knoxville went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 13, 2009. She was a founding member of Tarklin Valley Baptist Church, long time employee of Kerns Bakery, and a member of the Young at Hearts Club at the South Knoxville Senior Citizens Center. She is preceded in death by her husband George W. Otts Sr.; infant daughter Georgia Ann Ott, brothers Julius, Earl, Wade and Marshall Whaley; sisters Nellie Smelcher, Mary Davenport, Mentha Franklin, Arminda Hines, Willie Ellen Whaley, infant sister Edra Whaley and infant brother Willard Whaley. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Dale and Rosemary Ott, and George W. Jr. and Margaret Ott. Two grandsons and their wives; Jamie and Diane Ott, and Marcus and Missy Ott; two granddaughters Bethany and Bridget Ott; four great grandchildren Elizabeth, Kimberly, Tyler, and Cody Ott. Her only surviving twin sister Nora Bell Hood and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation services will be Sunday, February 15, 2009 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Highland South Memorial Park Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 8 p.m. with Rev. Dana Fachman officiating. Graveside services will be Monday, February 16, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Highland South Memorial Park. Guestbook may be signed at www.highlandmemorialparks.com.
