Robert James “Jim” Tittle of Maryville, formerly of Alcoa, died on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at his home. Jim was born on May 1, 1943, in Old Hickory, Tenn. He was married to the former Johnnie Williams and they were blessed with two daughters, Anna Lyn Tittle of Maryville, and Elizabeth Robin Tittle Rayas of Salem, Ore. He has two grandsons, James P. Stewart and Paul Rayas, both of Salem, Ore. He was a member of the Lord’s Church and worshipped at Eastside Church of Christ, Maryville. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Pete and Mildred Grace Tittle of Hapeville, Ga.; sister, Kathy Tittle; father and mother-in-law, Omer and Ruth Waldrop of Alcoa; sister-in-law, Betty Baker of Friendsville; and brother-in-law, Homer David Williams of Alcoa. Jim spent eight years in the U.S. Army and was a disabled veteran as a result of his service in Vietnam. He had 24 years in the federal law enforcement working as a Postal Inspector. He is survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Homer and Brenda Tittle of Forest Park, Ga., Tommy and Barbara Tittle of Snellville, Ga., Tim and Lisa Tittle of Stockbridge, Ga.; sisters and brother-in-law, Pat and Greg Smith of Morrow, Ga., and Karen Tittle of Pompano Beach, Fla.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ed and Helen Williams of Oak Ridge, Bill and Helen Williams of Alcoa, and Lloyd Baker of Friendsville; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Sue Maples of Pigeon Forge, Tenn., Cathy and Bill Wilbanks of Orlando, Fla., and Gladys Williams of Alcoa; along with several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, October 27, 2012, at the Eastside Church of Christ, 2543 Sevierville Road, Maryville, TN 37804. Minister Kevin Ruiz and Dean Buchanan will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday from noon till 2 p.m., at the church prior to the service. Burial will follow the funeral service at Grandview Cemetery with military honors. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans, P.O.
