Lisa D. Arms-Large age 48 of Newport passed away Wednesday July 27, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her grandmother, Newell Arms; mother and father, Charles Eddie and Mary Arms; daughters, Miranda Seay and Jessica Large; brothers and sisters, Tim and Melissa Arms, Chuck and Jennifer Arms, Stacy Grooms and Wendy Grooms; nieces and nephews, Alex Arms, Chelsie Arms, Jenna Arms and Alex Henderson; special friend, Dalena Clevenger; fiancé David Douglas and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Special thanks to Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice, Abby Provencal and special aunt and caregiver Jane Woods and special aunt Debbie Woody. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, George “Mutt” Owenby and Mary Belle Owenby Shults, Earl Arms and sister Kristie (Grooms) Nelson. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 pm Friday, July 29, 2011 in the Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glen Bradley and Rev. Doug Messer officiating. Burial will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, July 30, 2011 in the Fine Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made toward funeral expenses. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday July 29, 2011 prior to the funeral. Manes Funeral Home in charge.
