Campbells' 60th
L.A. and Virginia (Hand) Campbell, of Alcoa, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner and a tree planting at Alcoa First United Methodist Church, where they are active members.
The couple were married April 15, 1951, in Athens. The Rev. Joe Hardin officiated.
Their family includes children Jenny (Bill) Pate, of Springfield, Va., Amy (Phil) Large, of Maryville, and Bob (Connie) Campbell, of Hobe Sound, Fla. They have five grandchildren, Meghan (David) Rasnake, Keely Pate, David Large, Bo Campbell and Shane Campbell.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Campbell are retired educators from Alcoa City Schools.
