Nortons celebrate 50th anniversary with year of travel Tom and Linda (Morton) Norton Sr., of Gatlinburg, formerly of Maryville, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with several trips, beginning with a tour of Eastern Europe (Poland, Hungary, Austria, Prague and Germany) in June 2010 and culminating with a holiday cruise in the eastern Caribbean with their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The couple were married Dec. 29, 1960. Their family includes children Nikke Norton Johnston and husband, SEAL Chief Brent A. Johnston, and Tommy Norton Jr. and wife Tina Norton, all of Sevierville. Their grandchildren include Hunter Johnston, Denver Johnston, Brianna Lightfield and husband Kevin, and T.J. Norton III. Their great-grandchildren are Alexandra and Gavriella Lightfield. The Nortons own and operate The Norton Shows with their daughter Nikke. Mr. Norton is a former mayor of Gatlinburg and served as a Gatlinburg city commissioner for several years.
