Lynn H. (John) Burnett, age 92 of South Knoxville, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2008 at Holston Health Care. He was born September 2, 1916, to Floyd & Josie Burnett. He was a member of Beulah United Methodist Church, and was retired from Robert Shaw Fulton with 45 years service. He was an avid fox hunter and enjoyed working in his garden and on the farm. John loved unconditionally - always putting others before himself. He was a devoted husband and father, and he adored his grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Cora Rutledge Burnett; brothers, Dewey, Harl, Fred, and Arnold Burnett; sisters, Ruth Jordan, Lena Johnson, Blanch Naomi, and Ruby Burnett.

Grandson: Barry Burnett & wife Lee
Granddaughter: Lisa Dailey & husband Terry
Great-Grandchildren: Emily Burnett, Zack & Colby Dailey
