Charles R. Clabough, 66, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, March 21, 2008 at the family residence. He was a member of Union Baptist Church. He was retired from Maytag after 36 years of service. Mr. Clabough was the son of the late Robert Luther Clabough and Elvie Reagan Clabough and was also preceded in death by his siblings, Cowan Clabo, Ines Troutt, Kyle Clabo and Eula Mae Lawson. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Ruth Baker Clabough of Cleveland; two sons: Steve Clabough and Randall Clabough both of Cleveland; one grandson, Alex Clabough of Cleveland; four sisters: Alethia Hawkins, Avis Clabo, Eunice Bell and Frankie Haven all of Cleveland; one brother, Clyne Clabough of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Monday, March 24, 2008 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Donnie Dalton officiating. Interment will follow in Union Baptist Church Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Richard Hawkins, Larry Veal, Paul Panter, David Bell, Alan Bell and Arnold Bell will serve as pallbearers. His family will receive friends Sunday, March 23, 2008 from 3-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
