LAWSON, DENNIS ALBERT - 78 of Corryton, Tenn., passed away Friday July 29, 2000, at St. Mary's Hospital in Knoxville. Born in Knox Co., Mr. Lawson was a veteran of WWII, and was a craftsman in woodworking. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Cuma Lawson; 4 brothers, Arthur Lawson, Coy Lawson, Bob Lawson, and Elmo Lawson; 2 sisters, Ruby Lane and Edna Johnson Onks, and grandson, Lance Wilson.
He is survived by his loving family, wife Eula Mae Lawson of Corryton; daughters and sons in law, Jo and Blaine Rule, Reta and Ron Wade, Sandy Wilson and Dennis Hill, Wanda and Robert Black, and Debbie Lawson; sister Anna Howard; 3 granddaughters; 7 grandsons; 6 great granddaughters; 6 great grandsons; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday July 30 from 5-7p.m. at Highland South Funeral Home, with services following at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Larry Young and Rev. Jimmy Howard will be officiating. Interment will be at 12 p.m. Monday July 31, at Washington Pike Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The pallbearers will be family. The East Tenn. Veteran Honor Guard will do military honors at the interment. Highland South Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. 588-0567.
