Alvin Maurice Manning of Newport Tn., born Dec. 8, 1955, died Sept 2, 2010. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Frank and Edna Sprouse, Dexter and Lou Ella Manning also several aunts and uncles. He is survived by his parents Paul and Betty Manning of Newport, TN, bothers and sister Steve and Sami Manning of Knoxville, TN, Karen and Mitch Woodson of Newport, Donnie Manning of Newport, Jeff and Cathy Manning of Maryville, Ga., nieces and nephews Heather and Justin Manning, of Maryville, Ga., Erik and Jameela Manning of Knoxville, TN., also several aunts, uncles, other family and a host of friends. Funeral services 4 p.m Sunday Sept. 5, 2010 at Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Gene Gorrell and Alvin Watts officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday Sept. 4, 2010 at Manes Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Scott Stinson, , Mike Ottinger, Jimmy Gorrell, Rex Reese, Junior Ellison, Rodney Shannon; Honorary Pallbearers are Larry Manning, Mike Norwood and Brian Owenby.
