DUNCAN, DAVID M. - 67 of Tazewell, TN passed away peacefully August 2, 2010 at Claiborne County Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was of Baptist faith. Proceeded in death by his father, James Hubert Duncan, mother, Thelma Lorene Baldwin Duncan, grandparents, Sam & Lillie Duncan, Nat & Minnie Baldwin. "brother"-in-law, Frank Chittum Jr., Nephew, Johnny Michael Chittum. He was survived by his wife of 40 years Wanda Wells Duncan, his 4 children, Kimberlyn Norris of Springfield, MO, Jackie (Kenny) Rosenbalm, New Tazewell, TN, Allison (Dave) Morris and Mitchell Duncan of Tazewell, TN; granddaughter, Sarah Hurst, New Tazewell; brothers Kenneth (Georgia) Duncan, Randy (Carol) Duncan; sister Barbara Chittum all of New Tazewell, TN. Loving and caring Sister-in-law Phyllis (Don) Rose, Tazewell, Tn, Brother-in-law Haskell (JoAnn) Wells, New Tazewell, TN. Life long friend Doug Mullins, Tazewell, Tn. Other nieces, nephews, cousins and family. He was proud to be a member of the 1960 graduating class of Claiborne County Blue Devils. A 1968 graduate of Cincinnati School of Mortuary Science. He was a licensed Enbalmer & Funeral Director, he worked in several funeral homes in Michigan and Tennessee before entering into the Real Estate Business. A licensed Real Estate Broker and Auctioneer at the time of his early retirement due to his health, owned & operated David Duncan Real Estate & Auction Co. He was a builder and land developer having developed several subdivisions in the Tazewell, New Tazewell area. The family will receive friends Wednesday August 4 from 4-8 pm at the Coffey Funeral Home chapel in New Tazewell with the funeral service to follow at 8:00pm in the chapel. Graveside service will be Thursday August 5 at 11:00am in the Baldwin-Duncan Cemetery. Ministers: Rev. Charlie Widner & Rev. Lawrence Fultz; eulogy by Carson Baldwin; singers: Chittum Chapel Singers.
