Ray McClure, age 90 of Sevierville passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at his home. He was a World War II veteran of the United States Army serving in North Africa, Italy, and France, where he was awarded the Purple Heart medal. He was a member of the Church of the Valley and was retired from Fisher Oil Company.
He was preceded in death by his son, James McClure; parents, Ollie and Caroline McClure; brothers, J.D., Doyle, Howard, and Shirley McClure; sisters, Gladys Stinnett and Grace McClure.

Funeral service 6 PM Saturday in the East Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Gose and Rev. Sam Justus officiating. Interment 2 PM Sunday in Mattox Cemetery with military honors provided by American Legion Post #104. His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
