Robert “Steve” Fox of Sevierville, TN. was born on January 8, 1951, went to be with the Lord on May 26, 2014.
Steve passed away at his home surrounded by his devoted wife, Sharon of 40 years, his son, Robbie and many loving family members.
Steve was a devoted dad to his son, Robbie and devoted husband to his wife, Sharon.
Steve was a member of Walden’s Creek United Methodist Church. He volunteered to enlist in the Army in 1969 and served during the Vietnam War era with the rank of Staff Sgt. He was honorably discharged in 1972 and served an additional year in the Army National Guard. He re-enlisted in the National Guard in the late 1980’s and served during the Gulf War era and held the rank of Staff Sgt. In the 278th Armored Calvary Regiment. He was honorably discharged in March 1993.
He was a member of Walden’s Creek Vol. Fire Dept. for many years as a firefighter and served as Chairman of the board of directors until his death.
Steve was preceded in death by parents; Olin and Helen Fox and brother, Ronny Joe Tarbett.
Survivors include his devoted wife, of 40 years, Sharon Baker Fox; son and daughter-in-law, Robbie and Jessica Fox; sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Mike Cate and mother-in-law, Anne Baker; brother-in-laws and wife’s , Tim and Dorothy Baker and Dale and Sharon Baker; several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers Steve has asked that donations be made to Walden’s Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Tonia Kirby 2019 Little Valley Road Sevierville, TN. 37862.
The family will receive friends 5:30-7:30 P.M. Wednesday prior to the service.
Services will be held 7:30 P.M. Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Rawlings Funeral Home in Sevierville with Rev. Barbara Lay officiating.
Interment will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, May 29, 2014 in Walden’s Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery. Military Post 104 will be presenting Military Honors at the graveside service.
