ETHEL ROOP - 85 of Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of Knoxville, beloved wife for 64 years of Hubert Preston Clabough, Sr., devoted mother of Shirley Bibbins (Glen) of Dandridge, Tenn., Hubert (Clay) P. Clabough, Jr. (Mickey), and Vicki Greene (David) of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away in Cincinnati on September 30, 2001. Also survived by loving sisters, Olgie Davis and Mildred Scott of Knoxville, as well as 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. A long time resident of Knoxville, Ethel was born in Anderson County, Tenn., on October 26, 1915, attended Powell High School and worked as a seamstress for many years at the Palm Beach Company. Funeral services will be in the Chapel at Stevens Mortuary on Wednesday at 2 p.m. Rev. Marc Sasser of Norwood Baptist Church, where she was a member, officiating. Interment to follow at Bell's Campground Cemetery, Powell. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday October 2 at Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood at Broadway. [S58] Marriage Certificate.
