Tilman R. Williams Jr., 70, of White Pine, died Monday evening, May 24, at Mariner Health of Newport.
He was a former employee of Bob Smith Furniture Company and was of the Church of God faith. He was a member of the Newport VFW, Post 2372.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tilman R. Williams, Sr. and Lucy Henry Williams; brothers, Franklin, Thomas, and Leroy Williams; and sisters, Juanita Moss and Reba Pettus.
He is survived by his sisters, Hazel Keller, of White Pine and Wanda Worex, of Newport; sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Cecil Askew, of Parrotts-ville; brothers, Doolie Henry, of Dandridge and James Williams, of White Pine; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Costner-Maloy Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, at the Costner-Maloy Funeral Chapel with Rev. Billy Dean Shelton ofÞciating. Interment will be in the Edwards Chapel Church Cemetery/White Pine Cemetery. Military rites will be provided by the Disabled American Veterans L/CPL Charles C. Roberts Chapter 102.
