BEATRICE STALLINGS OSLAND, age 71, of Knoxville, TN and formerly of Dayton, OH, born October 14, 1933 in Strawberry Plains, TN, passed away Tuesday evening, September 13, 2005 after a courageous battle with a long illness. She worked for 33 years at Sheet Metal and Roofing Contractors Association of Dayton, OH. Former member of Strawberry Plains Baptist Church and St. Mathews Lutheran Church in Dayton, OH. Preceded in death by parents; Albert and Velma Stallings; sister, Elizabeth Stallings; brother, Olin Stallings. Survived by husband, Dennis Osland; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Richard Paton; grandson, Bryan Rhoden and wife Kim, and grandson, Wesley Rhoden; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jennie and Steve Kovach, Bobbie and Bill Ballard, Betty and Dwight Denton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Albert Lee and Betty Jo Stallings, Jr., Gary and Diane Stallings, and Stevie Joe Stallings; numerous nieces, nephews and many other relatives, co-workers and friends. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the wonderful staff at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX, the Thompson Recovery Center in Knoxville, TN and the staff at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 17, 2005 at Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Reverend Jerry Colbert officiating. Entombment will follow in Eastview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2005 at the funeral home.
