Arthur Henry, age 73, of Melbourne Beach, Florida, and Lenoir City passed away in Melbourne on Saturday, April 24, following a brief illness.
A native of Newport, Henry was a longtime businessman in Loudon County. He retired from the State Farm Insurance Company after 36 years. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War and was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, Loudon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J. Worth and Hattie Hurst Henry.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Norma Bryant Henry; daughter and son-in-law, Gay and Bill Lyons, Knoxville; son and daughter-in-law, A. Wayne and Debbie Henry, Lenoir City; daughter, Pam Henry, Knoxville; grandchildren, Rusty Rymer and Liz Lyons, Knoxville; step-grandchildren, Laura Lyons, Knoxville, and Matt Lyons, Memphis; brothers and sisters-in-law, Homer and Violet Henry, Melbourne; Raymond Henry and the late Dorothy Fox Henry, Sevierville; Jack and Patsy Ball Henry, Lenoir City; sisters-in-law, Valeda Bryant Cureton, Newport, and Betty Bryant, Knoxville; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held at South Shores, Melbourne Beach, on Monday, April 26.
The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Friday, April 30, in the parish hall at the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, Loudon.
A memorial service will be held at the Church of the Resurrection at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, May 1.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Memorial Garden Fund at the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, 917 Pond Road, Loudon, Tennessee, 37774.
