HEISKELL , MR. J.P. - age 79 of Maynardville, passed away Monday morning, June 19, 2000 at St. Mary's Medical Center. Member of First Baptist Church of Maynardville. He was retired from Aluminum Company of America and a Navy veteran of World War II, having served for four years on LST in the European Theater. Preceded in death by parents, D.V. and Elsie Heiskell ; brothers, Roscoe , Fred, Jim, Verlin, and Ben Heiskell ; sisters, Rosella McCoy and Joanna Beeler. He is survived by wife of 51 years,Vera Needham- Heiskell ; son and daughter in law, Brent and Sharon Heiskell of Madisonville; granddaughters, Erica Halterman of Knoxville and Megann Heiskell of Madisonville; sisters, Dorothy Turner-Kitts of Knoxville, Ola Turner-Myers of Maryville, Bonnie Peters of Knoxville, and Johnnie Merritt of Maynardville; along with a host of nieces and nephews. Interment at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Milan Cemetery. Pallbearers, Vern Lowry, Sam Peters, Mike Heiskell , Michael Needham, Steve Merritt and Swan Graves. Honorary pallbearers: Roy Mullins, Jessee Gose, Jack Hamley, Kenneth Norton and Doug Standridge. Ailor Mortuary, Maynardville in charge.
