Verlin Lee (Hy), 79, beloved father and grandfather, passed away December 22, 1994. Born in Maynardville, Tn., October 19, 1915 to Dempsey (D.V.) and Naomi Morton Heiskell . Having lost his mother in 1916, he was raised by his father and stepmother, Elsie Seymour Heiskell . Hy was the fifth of twelve children. He graduated from Maynardville H.S. and earned his B.A. from the University of Tennessee in 1943. A WWII veteran, Hy served as a Seaman in the Merchant Marines. He later made his home in OKC, where he married Alice Ramona Jones in 1953. A salesman, in heart and by trade, Hy held the Factory Distributorship for Kirby Sales and Service for Central and Western Oklahoma for 30 years. He was a member of the Kirby Hall of Fame and an active, dedicated Tn. "Volunteer" Alumn. Preceded in death by his parents, D.V., Naomi and Elsie Heiskell ; three brothers, Fred, Jim and Ben; sister, Joanna. He is survived by his wife, Ramona; daughter, Lee Ann and her husband, Jim Limber; granddaughter, Carley; brothers, Roscoe and J.P., Knoxville, Tn.; sisters, Rosella McCoy, Andersonville, Tn., Johnnie Merritt, Maynardville, Tn., Dorothy Kitts and Bonnie Peters, both of Knoxville, Tn., Ola Myers, Maryville, Tn.; many nieces and nephews. A memorial service w ill be held at Memorial Christian Church, 1915 N. Meridian, where he was a longtime member, on Monday, December 26, 1994 at 11:00 a.m.
