Ethel Williams Wild, born November 15, 1915 in Cosby, Tennessee, passed away at the home of her daughter, Donna Jenkins, on December 13, 2014 in Lexington, South Carolina. She was 99 years old and the oldest member of Deep Gap Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, William Williams, Jr.; mother, Elizabeth Kelly Williams; daughter Ava Jean McGaha; thirteen brothers and sisters; father of her children, Paul Wild; sons-in-law, Roy Self, Allen Thomas, and Ricky Stump; step-great grandson, Terry Lynn Henderson. She is survived by her sons, Roger Wild of Morristown and Randall Wild (Patty) of Georgia; daughters, Nancy Self of Newport, Shirley Fulmer (Floyd) of South Carolina, Donna Jenkins (Dewitt) of South Carolina, and Rita Thomas of South Carolina; son-in-law, Edmond McGaha of Maryville; 58 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; a host of nephews, nieces, and friends. She was a woman of faith who loved her Lord and family and friends very much. God gave the greatest gift of all calling her home to celebrate her Lord’s birthday in heaven where there’s no more tears, pain, and sickness. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family send a special thank you to Manes Funeral Home, Rev. Max Phillips, Stone Mountain Band for singing and all who do anything to help her and her family. May God bless you all. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Deep Gap Baptist Church in Del Rio. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 in the Manes Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12-2 Tuesday prior to the services. Family and friends may sign the guest register online at www.manesfuneralhome.com.
