KITTS, MRS. LAURA S., - 91, of Knoxville, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2000 at Baptist Hospital. Mrs. Kitts had lived in Knoxville most of her life, and was a member of the Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, James (Tom) Kitts, Sr. She is survived by her loving family, sons and daughters-in-law, Edward L. (Bud) and Evelyn Kitts, J.T. and Norma Kitts Jr.; daughters and sons-in-law, Avis and Andrew J. Evans, Barbara and Ron Brown; sister, Christine Cox; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday June 2, 2000, from 6-8 p.m. at Highland South Funeral Home, with services following at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Rosco Oxendine willbe officiating. Interment will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday June 3, at Sherwood Cemetery. Highland South Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. 573-7300.
