CATE, POLLY ANN - 71 of Kodak, pass away Saturday October 2, 2010 with her family by her side. She was employed by St Mary's Medical Center for 27 years. A member of New Salem Baptist Church, she was a devoted mother and grandmother. Preceded in death by her husband; A.B. Cate; daughter, Teresa Cate Lewis; parents; Henry L and Mildred Johnson and brother Johnny L. Johnson. She is survived by children. Marleta and husband Doug Holton. Aaron L. and Tanya Cate; grandchildren Christina Adams, Lee Walker, Samantha Lewis, Heather Cate Murray, Phillip Cate and Jeremy Haire. Bryon Holton, Holly Holton. Sister, Faye Farmer; brothers, Ronnie and Allen Johnson. Special thanks to a senior companion Mattie Troutman (Knox County CAC. Mobile meals and the staff at St. Mary's C.P.U Unit and St, Mary's Home Health Care. The family will receive friends Monday October 4, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at McCarty Evergreen Funeral Home. Service will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Mike Vincent and Sister Mary Martha officiating. Family and friends will meet at McCarty Evergreen Funeral Home Tuesday October 5, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. and leave in procession to Pleasant Piney Grove Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. interment.
