NANCE, ROY FRANKLIN age 73 of Corryton, passed away at 11:50 p.m. Monday, September 17, 2007 at St. Mary's Residential Hospice. He was a member of Corryton Church. He served his country for 20 years. He retired as District Service Manager from Peugeot Motors. Preceded in death by parents, Roy and Susan Renfro Nance; sister, Peggy Nance Wilkerson; two grandchildren, Kyle David Nance, Shannon Lee Johnson. Survivors: wife, Sarah Alice Nance of Corryton; children, Patty (Shane) Stonesifer, John Nance, Joy (Tommy) Dickerson, Lisa Nance and the children's mother Emma Favorito; daughter, Frankie Elizabeth (J.T.) McGinnis and her mother, Kathryn McGhee; stepchildren, Eddie (Angie) Smith, Rita (Ken) Rumgay, Robin (James) Redmond; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Carl Nance; brother-in-law, Wayne Wilkerson; several nieces and nephews; 4 aunts. Family and friends will meet at Stevens Mortuary at 10:15 a.m. Friday and go in procession to Mouth of Richland Baptist Church Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service and interment. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers are all family military: Eddie Smith, John Nance, Rob Petree, Christopher Staley, Nick Johnson, Shane Stonesifer; honorary pallbearers are James Redmond, Ken Rumgay, and Josh Cook. A funeral service will be held 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Corryton Church with Dr. Rocky Ramsey and Rev. Richard Emert officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Cystinosis Research Network, 302 Whytegate Court, Lake Forest, IL 60045. The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. prior to the service. Serving the family, Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Avenue at N. Broadway.
