Invitations will be sent. The future bride is the granddaughter of Glenn and Alma Bunch of Noble, Okla., and the late John and Darlene Shaw. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Bob and Ila Mae Morton, of Maryville, and Bill and June Asbury, of Alcoa. The bride-to-be will graduate in May 2010 from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor's degree in instrumental music education. She will pursue a career as a high school band director. The bridegroom-to-be is a May 2008 graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor's degree in psychology. He is pursuing a career in teaching while employed with the state of Oklahoma as a social services specialist II. Tristianne Brianne Shaw, of Norman, Okla., daughter of Eric Shaw, of Oklahoma City, and Dana Northrup, of Noble, Okla., was united in marriage with Jesse Alan Asbury, of Norman, Okla., son of Jim Asbury, of Alcoa, and Diane Asbury, of Maryville, at 7 p.m. Jan. 2 in the Molly Shi Boren Ballroom on the campus of the University of Oklahoma, Norman, Okla. The Honorable Sam Griffin officiated. Kirsten Albertson, of Noble, Okla., was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Bryttani Shaw, of Oklahomoa City, sister of the bride, Lisa Tackett, of Little Axe, Okla., and Riggs Hickman, of Norman, Okla. Flower girl was Kyra Brooke, escorted by her parents, Shyvonne and Nick Brooke, of Oklahoma City. Jeremy Asbury, of Maryville, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Groomsmen were Zack Smith, Christopher Lauth and David Hickman, all of Norman, Okla. A reception was held in the ballroom immediately following the ceremony. After a wedding trip to Las Vegas, the couple are living in Norman, Okla. The bride will graduate in May from the University of Oklahoma, where she was a member of the Pride of Oklahoma Marching Band for two years, with a bachelor’s degree in instrumental music education. She plans to pursue a career as a high school band director. She is currently finishing her senior-year student teaching at Purcell High School, Purcell, Okla. The bridegroom is a 2008 graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. He is pursuing a career in teaching while employed with the state of Oklahoma as a social services specialist II.
