COLE, WAYNE HOYT - age 78 of Knoxville, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Black Oak Heights Baptist Church. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Everette and Molly Rettie Trentham Cole; and sisters, Evelyn and Wanda. Children: Terry Wayne, Curtis, Mary, Sharon , Molly, and Joey; brothers, Shirley and Clarence; sisters, Betty, Hazel, Dottie, Katherine, and Yvonne; grandchildren, Nathan, Ciscly, Charisma, Lindsay, Shane, and Marshall; great-grandchildren, Ali Jo, Carson, Cameron, Destiny, Mariah, Tanner, Nicholas, Madison, Shelby, and Benjamin. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of Tennessee, 2125 Peters Road, Knoxville, TN 37923 and to the Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley, 6720 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Stevens Mortuary with a funeral service to follow, Pastor Jack Parrott and Rev. Randy Singleton officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Stevens Mortuary to go in procession to Highland Memorial Cemetery, Sutherland Avenue, for a graveside service and interment at 11:00 a.m. Military honors will be performed by the Tennessee Army National Guard.
