Willa "Mae" Watson, age 92, passed away quietly at home in Sevierville on Sunday, August 10, 2014 after a short illness. She was a member of Bell Avenue Baptist Church, Tennessee Twirlers Square Dancing Club, and the Eastern Star. She was born in Knoxville on June 28, 1922 to the late James and Nellie Hutchings. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by: her sister, Anna Overton of Atlanta, GA; daughter, Diane Huddleston of Seymour and Charleston; and husband of 69 years, Howard Watson. Mrs. Watson is survived by: sister, Ethel Marsh of Knoxville; daughter, Becky Clark of Ft. Meyers, FL; sons, Joe Watson of Las Vegas, NV and Paul Watson of Knoxville; grandsons, Greg Surrette of Seymour, Mark Surrette of Wheeling, WV, and Sam Clark of Jonesborough; granddaughters, Dr. Jennifer Clark of Richmond, VA, Elizabeth Witkop of Baneberry, April Peters and Amy Morrow of Knoxville; 12 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to: Covenant Hospice, Willa Mae Watson, 3001 Lake Brook Blvd. Ste.101, Knoxville, TN 37909. Family will receive friends from 5-7p.m. on Tuesday, August 12, in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home with services beginning at 7p.m. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, August 13th at 11a.m. in the Highland South Memorial Park.
