GREENE , RUTH EVELYN LINGINFELTER - age 72 of Friendsville, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 28, 2002 at Saint Mary's Residential Hospice House. She was a member of Zion Chapel Baptist Church. She retired from Blount Memorial Hospital after 28 years of service. Preceded in death by parents, David and Carrie Linginfelter brothers, Floyd, Charles, Guy, Roy, Burl and Carl. She leaves to cherish her memory, husband, of 56 years, Stewart W. Greene daughters and sons in law, Carion and Steve Ridley of Friendsville and Paula and Rex Rogers of Louisville son and daughter in law, Doug and Jo Greene of Alcoa grandson, Chris Pridmore and wife, Libby grandson, Craig Pridmore and Lora grandson, Ryan Rogers and wife, Jamie grandsons, Dustin and Westin Greene great grandchildren, Alex and Caroline Ruth Pridmore, Garrett Rogers and Taylor Pridmore brother and sister in law, Isaac and Arlie (Jackie) Linginfelter of Maryville sister in law, Mary Watkins Linginfelter of Friendsville special cousin, Helen Linginfelter Rogers of Friendsville many nieces, nephews and devoted friends. Services to celebrate her life will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday, November 30, 2002 at Miller Funeral Home, Magnolia Chapel, Maryville, with the Rev. Clarence Byrd officiating. Family and friends will meet for interment on Sunday, December 1, at 2 p.m. at Zion Chapel Cemetery, Louisville. Pallbearers will be nephews, Charles, Guy, Jerry, Mike, George Amburn and great nephew, Donnie Davis. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation for the care and concern given by Dr. Allan Grossman and the entire staff of the Knoxville Cancer Center, Dr. Gregory Midis and to the Saint Mary's Residential Hospice House, their staff, house chaplain, Sean and house doctors, David Wooten and John Vannoy and to all the many friends and family who have assisted with her care. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Saint Mary's Residential Hospice, Memorial Foundation, 7447 Andersonville Pike, Knoxville, Tenn. 37938 or to Zion Chapel Baptist Church/ Renovations Project, 3334 Zion Chapel Road, Louisville, Tenn. 37777. Arrangements by Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
