Imogene L. Brockwell Hill, of Newport, departed this world at Indigo Manor, Daytona Beach, Florida, on Thursday, February 28, 2008.
She was a loyal loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, friend and neighbor.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Martin; parents, Carl and Lucy Brockwell; brothers, W.L. (Dub), Jim, Stanley, Bobby and Jack Brockwell; sisters,Frances Brockwell, Darlene Green; son-in-law, Walter “Cotton” Ball; father-in-law, Frank Hill; mother-in-law and stepfather-in-law, Beulah Hill Holt and Carl Holt.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Johnnie Hill of Newport, TN; son and daughter-in-law, David “Bunny” and Marcia Hill, Newport, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Richard Graves, Port Orange, Florida; son-in-law, Don Martin of North Augusta, South Carolina; sisters, Emma Dean Green, Clarksville, TN, Joyce Woods, Newport; grandchildren, Craig Martin, Kevin Martin, Amanda Harvey, David Masoner, Shannon Ball and Ryan Hill;step-grandchildren Rick Gtaves, Terrie Madwell, Steve Graves, great grandchildren, Mary Martin, Christian Martin, Kaitlyn Martin, Kaleb Martin, Laura Beth Harvey and Guy Harvey; brother-in-law, Jimmie Hill of Newport; special friends Carol Brockwell and Jessee Freeman both of Newport, TN; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 7:30 pm Monday, March 3, 2008 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Howard Munsey and Rev. Hal Kirk officiating. Burial will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, March 4, 2008 in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7:30 pm Monday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral services.
