John Cagle of Sevierville, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at his home in Sevierville. John joined the United States Army at the age of 17, and served 16 months in Korea during that war. After he was discharged, he returned home and went to work for Freemans Furniture Store. He worked his way up to store manager of their Sevierville store. After several years with Freeman's he left and opened a store of his own which he named Cagle's Downtown Traders.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Mae and Ottie Cagle of Del Rio; sister, Addie Caldwell of Newport, brothers-in-law, Clifford Reece of Cleveland, TN, Johnny Caldwell of Newport.

Brothers and sisters-in-law: Guynn and Madalyn Cagle of Beaver Dam, KY, Lewis and Georgia Cagle of Knoxville, Norman and Bettye Cagle of Powell, Roy and Ila Cagle of Knoxville, Joye and Bea Cagle of Parrottsville
Special friends: Rex and Bill McMahan
The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Wednesday with funeral service to follow at 7 PM in the Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Leroy Parton officiating. Family and friends will meet 11:30 AM Thursday in East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on John Sevier Highway for interment. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Post #104.
