SLOVER, MILDRED JEAN - age 90, formally of Knoxville passed away Sunday, July 22 in Celebration, Florida following and extended illness. Mrs. Slover was a self-employed seamstress for over fifty years making custom slip covers for furnishings throughout the country. She was a member of Lyons Creek Baptist Church. Proceeded in death by parents: Doyle and Texie Lee Douglas; brothers, Paul and George Douglas. Survived by husband, William E. Slover; son and daughter-in-law, Roger Allen and Tashonda Slover of Claremont, FL; grandchildren, Christina Slover of Winter Park, FL, Matthew Slover of Las Vegas, Nevada, Jordan Slover and Mia Slover both of Claremont, Florida; brother and sister in law, Jack and Jerry Douglas of Knoxville; brother, William Douglas of Knoxville. Visitation will be held at Highland South Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 25, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2007 in the chapel of Highland South Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. with Scott Childs officiating.
