OGLE, JAMES CLARENCE - age 81, born to Albert and Ida Ogle, passed away peacefully on November 20th, 2010, at Heritage Assisted Living in Knoxville. He was preceded in death by sister, Flossie Oglesby and husband Raymond Oglesby; brothers, Eugene Ogle and wife Helen, Sam Ogle and surviving wife Lorene. He was the proud uncle of Marty Oglesby and wife Lynne, Eddie Oglesby and late wife Judy, Joy Polson and late husband Robert, Brenda Polson and husband Harold, Patsy Hill, Jimmy Ogle and wife Pam, Ricky Ogle and wife Deneas, and Connie Yadon. He was equally devoted to other nieces and nephews including: Melissa and Pat McKay, Kimberly and Will Wade of Union City, Tennessee and Matt and Kent Oglesby. Clarence was a graduate of Rule High School and was a United States Army Veteran who served in the Korean Conflict. He worked at the John Ownby Company, Knox County Clerk's office, and retired as a Claims Specialist with the Tennessee Department of Employment Security. "Unk" was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and a lover of University of Tennessee Athletics. He was a member of Second United Methodist Church of Knoxville. A special thanks to the staff and friends at Heritage Assisted Living for their devoted love and care. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Second United Methodist Church Capital Improvement Fund, 1524 Western Avenue, Knoxville Tennessee 37921. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 23rd, 2010 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm in the Highland Memorial Chapel with the memorial service to follow, M. C. Taylor officiating.
