Reverend Burton J. Bradley, age 81, of Dandridge , born February 20, 1927 in Marshal, North Carolina, passed away Monday, March 31, 2008 at his home in Dandridge. He was a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean Era. He was formerly an employee of American ENKA, in Morristown, TN and Tennessee Handbag in Dandridge. He was preceded in death by his sons, Rodger and Terry Bradley; parents, Rev. W. T. and Myrtle Bradley; brothers, Lester, Bill, J.C. and Sankey Bradley.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Lichlyter Bradley, of Dandridge; son and daughter-in-law, Norman and Pamela Bradley of London, KY; daughters-in-law, Anne Bradley of Knoxville, Darlene Bradley of Dandridge; brother and sister-in-law, Herbert and Violet Bradley, Portland, Oregon; sister and brother-in-law, Hattie and J. B. Lewis of Knoxville; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews; and many loved friends and neighbors.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Wednesday, April 2, 2008 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Eddie Gray, Rev. William Bradley and Rev. Benny Wallis officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at Manes Funeral Home.
