PORTERFIELD, VICTOR L. - passed away Sunday, July 31, 2005 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Arthur and Johnny (Smith) Porterfield sisters, Polly Gibson, and Edith Porterfield brother, Ray Porterfield. He is survived by: his wife, Anna Porterfield of Knoxville daughter: Misty Teffetteller of Knoxville granddaughter, Kimberly Teffeteller of Knoxville mother-in-law, Imogene Browning of Knoxville brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Linda Browning, Bobby Browning, David and Gail Browning, and Charles Browning all of Knoxville special friend, Marvin Helton several nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held 8:00 pm Wednesday August 3, 2005 in the Chapel of McCarty Mortuary with the Rev. Donnie Cash officiating. Family and friends will be received from 6:00 until 8:00 pm prior to the funeral service at the McCarty Mortuary. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 am Thursday morning, August 4, 2005 in the Chilhowie Cemetery for the 11:00 am interment services.
