H. Lynn Edgemon, 75, of 1416 Booth Ave., Owensboro, died Friday, Nov. 24, 1989, at Mercy Hospital. He was born in McMinn County, Tenn., was an accountant for T.J. Bartlett Oil Co. before he retired and was a member of Wesleyan Heights United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He was past president of the Owensboro Civitan Club and was a member of Scottish Rite of Knoxville, Rizpah Temple and the Owensboro Shriners Club and Past Master of Masonic Lodge-Englewood No. 0633.
Survivors include his wife, Frances (Polly) Edgemon; one son, H. Lynn Edgemon II of Olympia Fields, Ill.; one daughter, Mrs. Jamie Edgemon Smith of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Ernest Brown of Knoxville, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.
Services are at 1 p.m. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home, Fourth and Allen streets. Entombment at the Owensboro Memorial Gardens mausoleum.
Visitation noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Building Fund of Wesleyan Heights United Methodist Church, 1215 Scherm Road, Owensboro, Ky. Memorial contribution envelopes are available at Glenn Funeral Home.
