Ima Jean Jackson Davis, 76, passed away on May 18, 2013, at her home in Lucketts, Virginia.
Jean was born April 28, 1937, in Del Rio, Tennessee to the late Edith Teague and Cecil Jackson.
She made it her life's mission to care for all of those around her, including the many children she helped raise. Jean was kind and caring to all animals and also loved to garden. She left a lasting impression on all who crossed her path; she had an uncanny ability to make everyone feel at home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lewis Davis, grandparents Clemmie Stuart and James Jackson and Mary Stokely and Allen Teague; brothers, James and Tony Jackson; sisters, Lola Rivera and Margaret Castle; and brothers-in-law Victor Rivera, Jobe Gill, and Harold Topping.
She is survived by her beloved daughter Elizabeth Bivens and husband Michael; adoring grandchildren Michael, Matthew and Mason Bivens; siblings Edna Bragg, Roger Jackson, Linda Gill, Carol Topping and Teresa Jackson; and sister-in-law Joann Jackson.
Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 23, 2013, at the Lovettsville Union Cemetery, Lovettsville, VA. A reception afterwards was held at the Davis residence in Lucketts.
