Holt, Vera Hutcheson – of Knoxville, passed away on Monday, February 03, 2014, at Shannondale Health Care Center in Knoxville. She was a long-time member of Central Baptist Church of Fountain City, and a devoted Christian woman who served her Lord, her church, and her family throughout her lifetime. She had a particular love for children, and served the children’s programs at Central Baptist Church of Fountain City for many years. Preceded in death by her parents, Woodson Hutcheson and Emma Patton Hutcheson; her husband of fifty-four years, David Crawford Holt; and brothers, Doyle Hutcheson, Edwin Hutcheson and Oren Wilson Hutcheson. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David Holt and Cynthia Holt; her daughter and son-in-law, Janet Holt Parkey and Philip Parkey; grandchildren, Elizabeth Holt and husband, David Bowsher; Brittainy Holt Wierzbicki and husband Michael; David Holt III and wife Julie; and great grandchildren, Meriwether Crawford Bowsher, David King Bowsher, Jr., and Alexander Crawford Holt. Survivors also include sisters, Ima Hutcheson Humpston and Ernestine Hutcheson Ingle. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 7, at Highland Memorial Cemetery, with Rev. Ron Mouser officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Children’s Ministries of Central Baptist Church of Fountain City, 5364 N. Broadway, Knoxville, TN 37918.
