CHESTER, JAMES W. "GEORGIA BOY & "BUG" - age 75, of Maryville, passed away at 7:20 p.m., Saturday, May 5, 2001, at Blount Memorial Hospital, and went to be with his maker. He was a retired mechanic, who loved car racing and automobiles. Preceded in death by wife, Cora Chester; parents, Sam and Beatrice Chester; sisters, Ollie Rose and Estia Jane Chastain Freeman and brother, Walter Chester. Survivors: daughters and son in law, Betty and Jerry Franklin of Greenback, and Denise Bradburn of Maryville; sons and daughters in law, Donnas and Evelyn Chester of Maryville, Thomas and Sharon Chester of Knoxville; grandchildren, Shane and Amy Chester, Jami and Damon Greene, Karista Chester, Jimmy Chester and Misty Chester; great grandchildren, Ethan Chester, Gage Chester and Destiny Johnson; sisters, Vestia Shah, Dorothy Bell and Betty Gravitte, all of Georgia, Margurite Suttles of Maryville, Hazel Wiseman of Philadelphia, and Joan Willis and June Workman, both of Dandridge; brothers, Bille and Jim Chester, both of Dandridge, Jack Chester of Maryville, and Bob Chester of Seymour; special companion, Hester French of Maryville, and several nieces and nephews. The body was cremated. Family and friends will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2001, at the Magnolia Cemetery for the interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital. Arrangements by Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
