PARROTTSVILLE-To look at former Parrottsville Mayor Ronnie Hommel and his niece Laura Forbes today, it's hard to grasp what a medical rollercoaster the two have ridden for the past year.
At this time in 2010, rapid renal failure brought Ronnie to the need for dialysis. Today his health continues to improve daily following a kidney transplant on February 10, 2011.
The rollercoaster ride began in 2003 when doctors diagnosed Ronnie with Pauci immune crescentic glomerulonephritis.
