Jean Snapp McCrone, age 78 of Sevierville, passed away Saturday evening, July 5, 2008 at St. Mary’s Health Care in Knoxville. She was born April 26, 1930 in Jonesborough, TN and was raised in Sevierville on Joy Street. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Sevierville, and was so happy to be back in her hometown after having lived in Maryland for 39 years. She was a very kind, generous, and cheerful person who always had a ready smile and a love for life, as well as a very strong faith in God. She is now with her Father in Heaven and at peace.
Preceding her in death is her son: Edwin Lee Reagan; parents: Tip and Addie (Layman) Snapp; brothers: Edwin Snapp, and Jack Snapp. Survivors include her husband: Joseph McCrone; daughter: Susan Reagan; also other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held 7:00 pm Monday July 7, 2008 in the Chapel of the Rawlings Funeral Home with the Reverends Bobby Ely and Charles Harrison officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Rawlings Funeral Home prior to the service. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 10:15 AM to travel in procession to Shiloh Cemetery for the interment service beginning at 11:00 AM. Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Knutsen, Joey Knutsen, Rodney Pearson, Dennis Jarvis, Al Schmutzer, and Rex Henry Ogle.
