VAUGHT, RICHARD D. - age 36 of Strawberry Plains, formerly of Dandridge, passed away Tuesday afternoon, March 12, 2002 at St. Mary's Medical Center following a brief illness. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dandridge and was employed at Sea Ray Boats of Knoxville. Preceded in death by: brother, Steven Blair Vaught. Survivors: wife, Patty Johnson Vaught; children, Ashley and Michelle; step-children, Kristi and Nick; parents, Ernest and Obera Vaught; sisters & brothers-in-law, Karen and Tracy Rafalowski, Alisa and Scott Howerton; brother, Patrick Vaught; grandmothers, Hazel Ezelle and Mavis Moore; several aunts, uncles and cousins; nieces and nephews, Abby Rafalowski, Taylor and Jordan Howerton; father & mother-in-law, James and Geraldine Johnson; brothers-in-law, Jimbo and Wayne Johnson. Funeral services Friday 7:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Dandridge with Dr. Robert McCray officiating. Interment graveside services Saturday 10:30 a.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Field of Dreams, PO Box 348, Dandridge, TN 37725. Family will receive friends Friday evening 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the church prior to services. Arrangements by Farrar Funeral Home, Dandridge.
