FIFE, CHARLES "ODELL" - age 61, of Maryville, departed for his heavenly home at 10:02 p.m. Tuesday evening, June 18, 2002. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was head of security at Rarity Bay, until he became unable to work in March. After his retirement, Mike Ross and the residents of Rarity Bay had a dedication service at which time the guardhouse was renamed "The Charles Odell Fife Guardhouse" in his honor. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.M. Virgil and Aleene Nichols Fife; sisters, Bobbie Fife Breeden and Jean Fife Tipton; half-brother, J.M. Virgil Fife, Jr. Survived by his wife, Anna Rogers Fife; step-son, Ray Linginfelter Fife of Maryville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda and Don Hall, and Sandy and Bill Gaddis, all of Maryville, Pat and Ronnie Weeks of Shreveport, La; aunt and uncle, Polly and Clyde Gregory of Alcoa, and many special nieces and nephews and in-laws, and a host of wonderful friends that he loved dearly. Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2002, at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. David Bayless and Rev. George Seay officiating. Interment 2:00 p.m. Friday at Clark's Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Wade, Harold Garland, Joe Lambert, Joe Orr, Don Fife and Bill Tinch. Honorary pallbearer, Fred McArthur. The family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
