Winnie Ford Williams born January 1, 1926 went home to be with the Lord, Thursday Sept. 1, 2011. She has touched the lives of all who knew her. She was an inspiration and teacher of Christ to everyone. Her life was Christ, family, gardening, and canning. Winnie could pray the sweetest prayer. She was preceded in death by her husband Lee Williams, parents Eula and Lewis Ford, daughter Pauline Hall, son Alex Williams, and grandson Stacy Black. Survivors include daughters, Alene (George) Greene, Janice (Gordon) Sexton, Maxine (Roy) Black, sons Charlie (Linda) Williams, Steve (Mary) Williams, Ruben Williams, daughter-in-law Marcie Williams, brother Ebid Earl Ford, sisters Leaston Frisbee and Mary Ellen Baxter, grandchildren, Wayne Green, Jeff Williams, Obie Williams, Kim Woody, Becky Whitten, Teresa Black, Stephanie Turner, Donald Williams, Miranda Atkins, Jason Williams, Danny Hall, Katy Hall, and Tristan Williams and a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Special thank you to caregiver Darlene Mooneyham and Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice and nurse Lisa Ouffner, Denise Ball, Glen Bradley and Heather Arnold. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, September 4, 2011 at Mt Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Ransom Hall, Rev. Bill Murr and Rev. Glen Bradley officiating. Burial will follow in Williams Family Cemetery in Hartford. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Manes Funeral Home.
