Mr. Donald Oris Kelley, age 76, of Del Rio, passed away peacefully at his home Friday, December 6, 2013.
He was preceded in death by his parents Andy and Myrtle Woody Kelley, brothers and sisters-in-law Andy Kelley, Jr., Tom and Bernice Kelley, and Elmo Kelley, and sisters and brothers-in-law Lena and Arlie Cogdill, Leona and Willis Cogdill, Delma and Bill Rodgers, and Tula and Dawson Moore.
Mr. Kelley is survived by his wife of 53 years Mary Ruth Messer Kelley of the home, son and daughter-in-law Jimmy and Kathy Kelley of Del Rio, grandson Brandon Kelley of Knoxville, granddaughter Brandi (Matthew) Reed of Parrottsville, special great-granddaughter Bella Gibson of Newport, brothers and sisters-in-law Fred and Cora Mae Kelley, and Walker and Frances Kelley, all of Del Rio; and sister-in-law Louise Kelley of Newport. Additional survivors include several nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and many friends, including his special fox hunting and coon hunting friends.
The funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, December 8, 2013, at the Costner-Maloy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dale Maloy and the Rev. Caney Caldwell officiating. Pallbearers will be his nephews Jackie Kelley, Gary Kelley, Roger Kelley, Danny Kelley, Roger Moore, L. D. Moore, Larry Moore, and Bryan Kelley.
Family and friends will meet at 1:45 p.m. Monday, December 9, 2013, at Mulberry Gap Cemetery for the 2:00 p.m. interment.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 4:00—7:00 p.m. at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home prior to the services.
