Lona Lee Cunningham King, 88, of Lake Wylie, S.C., died Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at Lake Wylie Assisted Living in Lake Wylie. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 23, 2010, at Bratton Funeral Home. Rev. Ed Jillson will be officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens. Born in Seymour, Lona was a daughter of the late Thomas Elmer Cunningham and Edna Lee Sawyers Cunningham. She was a member of Alcoa First Baptist Church in Alcoa. She is survived by her husband Eugene Howard King of Lake Wylie, S.C., daughter Linda Jillson and her husband Ed of York, S.C., sisters, Troy Cunningham of Sevierville, Tenn., Ruby McCarter of Alcoa, Tenn., granddaughter Anna Jillson Penner and her husband Brendon of Raliegh, N.C., and grandson David Willem Jillson of Grand Rapids, Mich. Visitation will be held from 1:30-2 p.m. Friday, July 23, 2010, at Bratton Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Alcoa First Baptist Church, 819 Gilbert St, Alcoa, TN 37701, or to a church of one’s choice. Bratton Funeral Home, York, S.C., is serving the King family.
