GLENN, JAMES ALEX "JIM" - age 86, of Strawberry Plains, passed away on Friday September 10, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center St. Mary's. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and served in the United States Navy during WWII in the Pacific Theatre. He was preceded in death by: son Tommy Glenn; sisters Margaret Glenn Shinlever and Edith Glenn Hancock; brother Clyde "Hotshot" Glenn; and parents, Thomas and Minnie Stiles Glenn. Survivors include: wife of 47 years, Mary Glenn; daughter, Joann Glenn Merritt of Hammock, CA; brother, Clarence Glenn; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Monday September 13th from 5 - 8 PM with the funeral service to follow at 8:00 PM at McCarty-Evergreen Funeral Home. The interment will be on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Pollard Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.mccartyevergreen.com.
