Joyce Lorene Williamson, age 80, of Newport, passed away Monday, May 28, 2012 at Newport Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Roxie Hance. She is survived by her husband, Jack Williamson of Newport; son, Larry Brooks and wife Darlene, of Newport; daughters, Karen Bryant of Newport, Linda Watts and husband Ron, of Wilmington, NC; sister, Rosetta Bullen of Morristown; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Snapp of Newport and Jewel Hance of Panama City, FL; grandchildren, Kurt Brooks, Mitzy Collins and Zak Bryant; great-grandchildren, Hailey Bryant, Kimberly Burleson Jessica and Austin Hitch, Anna Elizabeth Collins; brother-in-law and sister in law, Donnie and Betty Williamson of Newport; also other family and friends. Funeral services will be held 8:00 pm Friday, June 1, 2012 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Rich Lloyd officiating. Burial will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, June 2, 2012 in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral.
