NEWCOMB , PAUL , SR. age 86 passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2009. He was a devoted veteran of the United States Army, where he served as a Military Policeman in Europe during World War II. After his service Paul worked for General Shale Brick until his retirement in 1988. All through his life Paul loved spending time at home with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bessie and James Newcomb ; brothers and sisters, Luther, Charles, Ralph, Bessie, Jessie, Alvin, Trula, and James. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Missie Mae; children, Barbara, Paul (Judy), and Gary (Wilma); grandchildren, Chuck (Michelle) Bradley of Atlanta GA, Kenny (Shelly) Bradley, and Jennifer Newcomb ; great grandchildren, Chase, Zachary, and Ciara; brother, Davis Newcomb of Lenoir, NC, and devoted sister-in-law, Ada Stroud. Funeral services for Mr. Newcomb will be Monday night at 7:00pm with visitation Monday 5-7pm at Highland South Funeral Home. Burial will be Tuesday at 2:30pm at Highland South Memorial Park. 865-573-7300
