NEWCOMB, MISSIE MAE - age 84, departed this life on April 16, 2009. She retired from Palm Beach Company as a seamstress, and devoted much of her retirement to family and community interests. She was a member of Meadow View Baptist Church, past member of Board of Directors for the Community Action Committee, member of the Young at Heart Club, and former member of The Order of The Eastern Star. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Paul Newcomb; parents, Lewis and Mettie Ogle; brothers, Bruce and Jahu Ogle and sister, Ruth Ogle. Mae is survived by brothers, Gentry and Jonathan Ogle; special sister and caregiver, Ada Stroud; daughter, Barbara Bradley; son, Paul Jr. and wife Judy Newcomb; son, Gary and wife Wilma Newcomb; grandsons, Chuck and wife Michelle Bradley of Atlanta, GA and Kenny and wife Shelley Bradley; granddaughter, Jennifer Newcomb and great grandchildren, Chase, Zachary and Ciara. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 19, 2009 from 12:30 to 2:30 PM at Highland South Funeral Home with a service to follow at 2:30 PM with Rev. David Watson officiating.
