Phyllis Faye Greene Hogan, age 72, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, July 26, 2016 surrounded by her loved ones. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister. She was a friend to all who knew her. She loved being a caregiver to others and especially loved gardening. She worked and retired from Douglas Cherokee Economic Authority were she helped others and changed the lives for the better of the people she met. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Newport, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oakus and Georgia Greene; grandparents, Angus and Callie Lee, and Emma Love; and brother, Tom “Eddie” Collins. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Alfred Hogan; Together they have four children, Anthony Hogan of Nashville, Belinda Hogan Alley (Michael), Chris Hogan (Wendy), and Denise Hogan Caughran (David); special cousin, Margaret “Peggy” James; She has five grandchildren, Andy Hogan, Jonathan, Jarred, and Mikayla Alley, and Noah Caughran, they were the joy of her life. Funeral Service will be at 7:00 pm, Saturday, July 30, 2016 in the Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Williamson and Rev. David Caughran officiating. Burial will be at 10:00 am, Sunday, July 31, 2016 in the Clark Cemetery in Hartford. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm on Saturday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral service.
