LAMB, DOROTHY CAPPS HAYES - of Farragut, died Wednesday morning, November 1, 2006. She graduated with a nursing degree from Methodist Hospital in Memphis and did her post graduate work at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. She worked many years as a registered nurse. She was Operating Room Supervisor at La Bonheur Hospital in Memphis, Methodist Hospital in Oak Ridge, and East Tennessee Children's Hospital in Knoxville. She enjoyed her long and distinguished career in nursing, and her family is extremely proud of her accomplishments. She has been a member of Fountain City Methodist Church, First Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was currently a member of Concord United Methodist Church. She was a member of Toastmasters of America, AORN, Omni Women's Club, and was Queen of the Red Hat Royal Red VIP's. Dottie was an avid bridge player and an active community and civic volunteer. She loved to travel, had many, many friends, and many loving pets throughout her life. She is survived by: her son, Lee Capps & his wife Pat and their children, Adam and Shannon; son, Steve Capps and his wife, Marina and their daughter Emily; her daughter, Laura Morris and her husband, Steve. She also leaves: Glenn Gaskins, Tommy Gaskins, Shelly Jackson and daughter, Jennifer- the family of her beloved twin, the late Doris Ann Maloney. She will be missed by all her relatives and her many friends. Following a private burial, the family will receive friends 2:30-3:30 p.m. Sunday at Concord United Methodist Church followed at 3:30 p.m. by a service with Rev. Catherine Nance officiating.
